The existence of histamine H1 and H2 receptors in the rat brain was investigated using specific agonists and antagonists of these receptors in peripheral tissues. It seems that there are histamine H, receptors in the rat brain. These receptors might play a role in pathophysiology of tremor, but not rigidity in the rat.
