Abstract

The brain oedem produced by triethyltine has been used to see its influence on the effect of central activating drugs and electroshock. The responses to the drugs were various, decreased, increased or unchanged.

There was no influence of triethyltine on the effect of nikethamide, amphetamine, strychnine (4 mg/kg) and electroshock. The effect of pentetrazol and tremorine was diminished. The effect of chloral-hydrate, pentobarbitone, chlorpromasine, mephenesine, bulbocapnine and strychnine (9 mg/kg) was increased.
