Abstract

In the work have been presented the experiences, which have been acquired in the ten-year period, concerning the problem of chronic juvenile polyarthritis. Although the etiopathogenic mechanisms are still always not clear enough, the various appearance and the variegated course of the disease, point to a complex immunogenetic mechanism, which in the light of the new knowledge about the immunopathogenesis of rheumatic diseases grants the foundation for its clearing up.

The former advance in the diagnosis enables also the terminological confusions connected with this disease.

The progress in the explanations of immunopathogenic occurrences brings in lighter and systematisms in the therapy of the disease. The use of the drugs which modify the immunopathogenic mechanisms of the disease brings in more hope in the treatment of this difficult disease. At last, the physical treatment as integral part of therapy of juvenile chronic polyarthritis reduces the percentage of the severe invalidity and improves the difficult prognosis of the disease.
