Dr Roganović graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Rijeka, Croatia, and was awarded the Best Student University Prize (1982). In 1990 she completed a pediatric internship at Rijeka Clinical Hospital Centre, Croatia. She completed two postgraduate studies, and earned her doctoral degree at the University of Rijeka (1997). She concluded the program in pediatric hematology and oncology in Padua, Italy (1998). Dr Roganović underwent extended training in clinical and research activities in pediatric oncology in Zagreb (Croatia); Ljubljana (Slovenia); Los Angeles and Cincinnati (USA); Trieste, Padua and Genova (Italy).
Dr Roganović has published more than 350 papers, proceedings and abstracts, and several book chapters. She has received many awards, including “The City of Rijeka Annual Award for a holistic approach in the treatment of children” and ”The University of Rijeka Foundation Award for her contribution to biomedical and biotechnical sciences“. She is a certified member of many national and international societies, with remarkable contributions in several European boards/committees and European projects. She serves as a reviewer for a number of national and international journals, and is an editorial board member of several journals of international repute.
Currently, Dr Roganović works as a senior pediatric oncologist at Zagreb Children’s Hospital and assistant full professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Drug Development Rijeka, as well as Schools of Medicine in Belgrade (Serbia), Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and Maribor (Slovenia). She is the president of the Croatian Society for Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, and the national coordinator for the childhood cancer survivorship program.
