Abstract

The indirect stimulation of the isolated oesophagus, urinary bladder and ductus deferens induced contraction. They were used as a model-systems. The modification of rhythmic contractions of oesophageal striated muscle were used for considering the effect of drugs on the heart i. e. the preparation was used as a model-system of the heart. Urinary bladder with the cholinergic pelvic nerve and ductus deferens with adrenergic nerve were used as model-system for coronary vessels.

Three types of coronarodilatators were found. First type blocked all three model-systems (Segontin). Second type decreased the effect of autonomic nerves on smooth muscle and increased the effect on striated muscle (Persantin, Isoptin and Aminophylline). Third type decreased only smooth muscle that contracted on cholinergic nerve stimulation (Sodium nitrite and ATP). Strophantin and deslanoside modified the effect of nerve stimulation on three preparations.
