Mrs. received her B.Sc. in Biology in 1993 from Department of Biology, Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

After graduation she became a researcher at the Research Association of Slovenia and in 2007 she received her Ph.D. in the field of Biomedicine from Medical Faculty, University of Ljubljana. In the same year, she registered a post-graduate doctor study in Statistics at the University of Ljubljana. In 2010, she became an assistant in the field of Bioinformatics at the Medical Faculty, University of Ljubljana. During her education Mrs. Čižek Sajko worked as a clinical embryologist at the Department of Reproductive Medicine and Gynecologic Endocrinology, University Clinical Centre Maribor, Slovenia. In 2008, she acquired a Certificate for Senior Clinical Embryologist from European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).

Mrs. Čižek Sajko is currently working as a statistical analyst in her own company, at the same time she is working as assistant and on the research project at the Institute for Biostatistics and Medical Informatics, Medical Faculty, University of Ljubljana, and as a Senior Clinical Embryologist at the Institute for Human Reproduction Dr. Balić, Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She is an author or co-author of many scientific papers, a referee for one domestic and three foreign scientific journals.
