Lidija Lincender-Cvijetić, MD, PhD

Born in Sarajevo, 1943, completed her elementary and high school education as well as medical schooling in Sarajevo.

From 1972 held a position at the Institute of Radiology and Oncology, specializing in radiology in Zagreb, 1975. Consequently worked as a radiologist at the Institute of Radiology, and in 1976 she was chosen as an assistant at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sarajevo. Continued her education domestically and abroad, participating in copious national and international conferences, seminars, and symposiums. Along with her regular work in academia and medical practice, in 2000 she permanently joined the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sarajevo.

A member of the association of radiologists, and their president from 2004 to 2008; president of the third congress of radiologists to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2007; a member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR). Participated in graduate lectures for medical and stomatologist faculties as well as a medical college, and today holds a position at the Faculty of Health Studies. As a lecturer she participated in postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo and Tuzla.

She retired in 2008. In 2009, worked as an organizer and lecturer at ESOR – Galen, European School of Radiology: “Oncological Imaging”. In 2010, became the president of the Medical Board for Malignant Diseases at ANUBiH. As an author and co-author she published 255 medical essays; from those 70 in accredited journals.
